Who We Are

Buildspace Inc. was founded for people with big ideas.

We have made it our mission to become the world’s first idea to production firm (IPF). Anyone can come in with an idea for a manufacturable product, and leave with a step-by-step plan to produce. We value good ideas.

Industrial designers on a mission to make thoughtfully crafted, aesthetically pleasing, sustainable products that are built to last. In a disposable thinking society, it’s quite difficult to find beautifully crafted products worth keeping.

We want to change that.

Craftsmanship is not dead.

We believe that in order to build the highest quality parts and products, those that are designed and engineered to last, design must play an instrumental role in the process of creation. It has to be the driving force behind why something comes to life. We design because we think and know that things can always be improved upon. That the beauty of a product not only exists in the aesthetically pleasing visual qualities, but in the function as well; that the user experience should be so natural, one knows how to interact with the product before having ever used it. That’s where we come in.

We help innovative, determined entrepreneurs get their product from an idea to fully functioning, production ready product as quickly as possible; making sure goals are realized and that a plan to execute is in place prior to manufacturing. Once a consensus has been reached, we collaborate with our clients to establish lasting business relationships, being there every step of the way. Whether you are introducing a brand new product to market or completing another round of bulk orders, our extensive library of materials, highly experienced team, and cutting edge technology, will make sure your ideas see light.

Meet the Team

  • Rolando Rodriguez

    FOUNDER, CEO

Rolando Rodriguez started his career in architecture and urban design, but later grew an avidity for both industrial design and research and development after being introduced to additive manufacturing and CNC milling in college. At that moment, Buildspace Inc. was created, with the mission to make quality products that are aesthetic, functional, sustainable, and built to last.

  • Matthew DeJesus

    DIRECTOR OF DESIGN MANUFACTURING

Starting his career in architecture, Matthew DeJesus is familiar with the processes of project management and design systems. After graduating honors from the University of Central Florida, he began working for a prefabricated modular facilities manufacturer where he learned how to design product for production and manage a team of designers and fabricators.

  • Abraham Gonzalez

    DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS COORDINATION

When it comes to making sure orders go out on time and everything is running as efficiently as possible, Abraham Gonzalez makes it happen. Organizing the complex structure of warehousing, product assembly logistics, storage operations, order fulfillment, and so much more. Having a comprehensive experience with import and export, your orders will arrive impeccable.

On-demand manufacturing

We help people get started, but we also help companies grow. By having our on-demand manufacturing structure in place, companies are able to get production ready parts in bulk, faster. If you have your design and engineering files available, we can often times start your project within the very same day. Once you send us your file, we pull material from our library, setup the equipment, and get started on your project. It’s a very simple and straightforward process. Call us today with any questions!

What People Are Saying

“We had a great experience with Buildspace. You guys really helped us nail down exactly what we were looking for with our product. Being an architecture graduate, I thought that I had done everything I needed regarding the design, but there was still so much I was unaware of.“

— Tatiana Khalil, UCF Arch. Alumni

“Our company had just finished raising our first round of funding on a prototype built in our college dorm room. It was clear that we needed to make a decision on how to make it exact and at scale. Buildspace was able to deliver ahead of schedule and offered us a Startup Residency.“

— Audrey Fernandes, Static Mouse

“We had just sold out of our inventory and were already receiving orders for more product; we were in need of an on-demand manufacturing solution. We found Buildspace, called them up, sent them our production files, and in the same day, they had started to place product on a palette.“

— Chad Applegate, Luxe Interiors

FAQs

How does Buildspace differentiate itself from other manufacturers?

Buildspace is a one stop shop for anyone with a good idea. We’re more than manufacturers; we design, engineer, and program products. We’re a large scale fulfillments and distribution center; a startup residency program, a student resource center. Making manufacturing readily available and efficient is one way differentiate ourselves.

What is the process at Buildspace if I have an idea I want to fabricate?

Buildspace first looks at what you’re trying to achieve. Once we know your goals and budget, we can discuss design and engineering. We would then need to create a digital model and select materials before building the initial prototype. Once the prototype passes review, we then begin manufacturing. It’s pretty straightforward.

What materials capabilities does Buildspace have?

Buildspace works with an extensive material library, most of which is kept in stock. We work with all types of metals, woods, organics, stone and marble, polymers, plastics, foam, and so much more. Our goal is to make sure we’re building a product to last, so selecting the correct type of material can require extensive amounts of research.

What type of parts and products does Buildspace make?

Buildspace focuses on designing and engineering parts and products that are built to last. Many things in todays world are disposable, often times unnecessarily; we’re here to change that. We strive to build the highest quality parts and products using the best materials available, with the most cutting edge technology.

Which industries is Buildspace involved with?

Buildspace is involved with many industries, starting with automotive, diesel, and industrial equipment, aerospace, architecture and construction, defense, and robotics. We are always interested in expanding our capabilities and experience. As our company grows, we plan to include quantum computing, semi-conductors, and biomedical.

Does Buildspace have any of it’s own projects in the works?

Buildspace is heavily involved in a number of research and development projects. Some of the work includes sustainable architecture in space, artificial intelligence controlled equipment, and renewable energy. We have many other projects we’re interested in, but are focused on expanding our team and technology prior to starting.
