Exploration of materials.
Buildspace Inc. enjoys exploring advanced materials. We’ll push the limits of our equipment to better understand what they’re capable of, and how certain types of materials can work with each other. This often leads to a lot of broken parts, but we’re convinced that if you aren’t breaking things, you aren’t learning; and one way we learn is by building everyday items people can use in their homes.
Building these everyday items helps test out new materials on our equipment, and more often than not, these items end up unnecessarily designed and over engineered to withstand an extreme amount of durability. Once we finish with the items, we don’t really have a use for them, so we sell them here. All proceeds from sold items help keep our student and startup resource center up to date.
